District 7, here we come!
First elected to Seattle City Council in 2009, Sally Bagshaw received over 69% of the vote during the general election. Sally, now known as Councilmember Sally Bagshaw, officially took office on January 4, 2010 and she has spent the last four year working as YOUR Councilmember
That hard work paid off. On November 6, 2013, Sally was reelected to office with an overwhelming 84% of the vote. Her new term is unique: it is only for two years as opposed to the previous four year term. Because of the successful passage of City of Seattle Charter Amendment No. 19, City Council will have district representation beginning in 2016.
What does this mean? On one hand nothing will change. Sally will continue to work hard as YOUR Councilmember, but her current term is only for two years, 2014 and 2015. This means, Sally has the opportunity to run for office again in 2015. And she’s ready to do just that!
Sally has already filed and she is running for Seattle City Council District 7. This area includes Downtown to Discovery Park, Queen Anne to Magnolia, South Lake Union and Pioneer Square.
Yes, changes are coming but one thing remains for sure. Sally will continue bringing people together to find solutions and work for the best interest of the city.
Thank you for your interest and for your continued support.
